Сегодня министры юстиции и внутренних дел Евросоюза договорились о включении в шенгенскую зону 10 новых государств-членов ЕС. Today, the Ministers of Justice and Internal Affairs of the European Union agreed to the inclusion in the Schengen area of 10 new EU member states.Данное решение касается государств, вступивших в блок в 2004 г.: Польша, Венгрия, Чехия, Словакия, Кипр, Мальта, Литва, Латвия, Эстония и Словения. This decision concerns the states which joined the bloc in 2004: Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Cyprus, Malta, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Slovenia.
Процесс включения новых стран будет поэтапным: с начала 2007 г. указанные 10 стран начнут укреплять пограничный контроль и приводить таможенные стандарты в соответствие к предъявляемым для шенгенской зоны требованиям. The process of inclusion of new countries will be gradual: from the beginning of 2007, these 10 countries will strengthen border control and customs lead standards in line to the requirements for the Schengen requirements.Ближе к середине 2007 г.
